Minty fresh MP3 player

Make your own MP3 player, with an FM transmitter built-in, using a box of Altoids. This site has the instructions to make your own MP3 player.

Limor's site itself is full of resources and has some cool HTML navigation.

Another Build Your Own MP3 Player

A couple weeks ago we had a link to MP3AR for hardware and software to build your own mp3 player. YAMPP (ironically stands for "Yet Another MP3 Player") is another site to download software and hardware schematics to build your own MP3 player.

Replace Your iPod Battery

CottonBuds writes: "Since "many" people have iPods, and quite few of them are not aware of sites with instruction on how to replace their iPod battery. I thought that this would be a good idea to link ipod replacement battery instructions to your site."

Here's what I've found so far...

Make 3D Photos

The other day we had posted a link to making a 3D display now an article from EnGadget shows you how to easily make your own 3D photos using a digital camera and free software.

Build a 3D Scanner

This guy has plans for a couple very cool scanners on his site. None of this flatbed 2D stuff, his scanners scan in 3 dimensions! The first is a flatbed scanner mod, and seems considerably easier then the other, but turns out some nice results. The other uses a laser and a homemade digital pinhole camera (which is pretty cool project itself). Wish he posted more images/vids of results, but what he's got there is pretty cool.

Make an Underwater Enclosure for your Camera

This article shows you how to make a waterproof enclosure for your camera. A lot of pics and good instructions makes construction of your underwater camera bag look pretty easy. I don't know if I'd trust my Olympus DSLR in one of these, but probably would try it with my older 3 MP Nikon.
